Press Release – April 2016

After a two-year break, Acoustic Earth returns with their brilliant new EP Amen. Developing the pop/singer-songwriter style first heard on 2013’s Head Over Heels EP, songwriter Pete Walton and vocalist, Olivier Award winning actress Lorna Want, draw their references from influences as diverse as George Ezra, Carly Rae Jepsen and Angus and Julia Stone. The feel-good summertime pop of Amen and the hands-in-the-air anthem I Will Be, show Lorna and the band pushing their pop credentials in songs that will be nagging at you long after you’ve played the EP. In the past, Acoustic Earth have been involved in classical projects (Slow Motion Sleeper) and world music (2010’s Travelling Man), but the Amen EP is pure pop; catchy, tuneful and full of delicate touches than reveal themselves on repeated listening. The track Amen has been steadily building fans on Soundcloud and Internet radio and the video for Amen looks set to build the Acoustic Earth fan base further.
